Do I have to join the Oakland/SF Bay Area local chapter?
No. Members of NFBPA do not have to join a local chapter. However, the Oakland/SF Bay Area Chapter encourages you to take advantage of the additional opportunities for networking, professional development and community service. Individuals can not be local members only.
Can I pay my national and local dues to the chapter?
Yes, national and local dues may be paid to the chapter. The chapter will handle the rest! You can also pay membership dues at the NFBPA National site.
How can I stay informed about all your special events?
The best way to stay informed is to attend our regularly scheduled monthly business meetings for the chapter. Members who are in good financial standing also received electronic notification of special events for members-only as they occur.
Where are your meetings held?
Our meetings are hosted by a variety of local municipalities and business members around the Oakland/SF Bay area in various locations, which increases awareness of our organization around the city and allows our members to be well informed about our surrounding local government and corporate support. Check our calendar for actual locations.
When are your meetings held?
Our meetings are currently scheduled on several days to accommodate our members and their schedules. Our national conference is in April when we attend FORUM. Times of our chapter meetings and Professional Development sessions vary monthly. Please check the website often for notices and any schedule changes.
